This year we should be appearing on the Endorset compilation cd, the track in question is our old end of set favourite 'Tainted Love'. The cd will be sold at the festival & proceeds go to charity.

So heres the crack, we are on at 8.30pm friday & 7.00pm on saturday & sunday in the 'Lunar Sea Lounge' (the old trash city field). They are twisting a few celeb arms to come and do a spot of karaoke, confirmed so far are Nick Turner (Hawkwind), Billy Bragg, Keith Allen (Lillys Dad) to name drop just a few. So not only can YOU get to sing at Glastonbury, you might just get to duet with a celeb.

It has come to our notice that a petition has started up on facebook to get us back in the Red Lion, we were pretty astounded to believe anyone cared. Anyway rumour has it that if they can reach a target of 500 friends, Chris will let us back in the Red. So get on over to Facebook & tap in 'FDS to play Red Lion Gillingham!'. Cheers to whoever started it...

As you may have notice we have had a few problems with the site recently, first it vanished completely & then popped back up 5 years out of date. Most of the gremlins have now been sorted & i should have the few that are left done shortly.

A big thanks to all those that turned out for the Xmas charity gig, we raised a total of £293 for the `Rainbow Animal Sanctuary` at Semley. Thanks also to Rory at Eightball, Seranade for a broken heart, Jam with sam & Dj Judda for playing.

Saturday August 25th at the `Royal Oak` Motcombe. The festival is being put together by `Eightballgigs` (Jon Jon - Rory) & Jazz (Virus). We are still at the early stages but this is a rough outline of the day. Rock-Alternative stage outside with 17 bands from midday - midnight & indoor Acoustic stage from 1pm - 8pm ish. We are trying to keep this a free entry festival but raise money on the day for charity. Any bands wishing to play, bearing in mind we are trying to do this for free, should contact Jon Jon through the website or Rory at the `Eightballgigs` site or Jazz at the `Virus` site. More details over the next few weeks.

After being blown hot air up our asses for the last twelve months about how great we were at last years festival & how this year we would have our own afternnoon bla, bla, bla, we were given the cold shoulder as the time grew closer. As pissed off as i am about it, i do wish them all the best as it`s a great festival thats getting better every year, & let`s face it Gillingham needs it.

As promised last year the website will be getting bigger. As from this month we will start adding galleries from the archive of piccys that we have. Also Rory will be updating the site regularly, mainly sorting out video clips from the past & the present. Plus beware we`ll be out with the camera`s at every gig this year.

Over the coming weeks i`ll be putting up galleries from 91-05, `Rory` will be editing video footage from the last fifteen years, (beware YOU look as bad as us), the Documentary will finally start to take shape with photos, trailers etc,etc...Plus other stuff as we trundle along.

26 February 2005 - Easter Gig Cancelled.
We`ve had to cancel the easter gig as we can`t find anywhere to play. It`s just a case of money, to put a gig on at Legends costs around £700 before we pay any of the bands, which means we`d make very little for charity. The other problem is theres nowhere else to play in gillingham of a decent size. We will do something smaller later in the year somewhere. Sorry to all the bands who agreed to play (for free, i might add) & to you guys who`ve made it a cool time in the past. Also thanks to Ross & Jason for there help with previous gigs & Echo P.A..

Most of the website has been updated, theres some more gig dates to check out as well as some reviews of last months gigs & hero of the month is up. We`ve got a couple of galleries to do, one is from the legends gig of all you lovely people & the other is from the Port Regis (check out Jer playing a union jack drum kit, nice), They will hopefully be up by the end of the weekend.

Big Big thanks to everyone who turned out for the xmas gig (450 approx), there was more of you at the gig than there was at 'Legends' on Christmas eve. So who do we book for the easter gig? We want your feedback. Tribute bands we`ve thought about are 'Oasis', 'Guns & Roses', 'The Darkness' or 'U2'. Let us know what you think.

I will write a revue of the gig shortly but as it ended the way it did, i don`t think now is the right time. Apparently the police are appealing for witnesses on radio 1. But we`d like to thank everyone for all the positive support we had on the night, i can`t recall a time when we`ve had so many people giving us the thumbs up so to speak. Cheers... If anyone took any photos on the night, email them to us as my camera decided not to work.

Apologies to `Big Num` & anyone who went to the Salisbury gig expecting to see us, we had to pull out at the last minute (see below). Big Num have offered us another gig in the new year which we are looking forward to playing.

01 November 2004 - Quiet month ahead.
We`re having a few weeks off this month as Johnnys wife is due to give birth any day now & if he misses it, i don`t think he`ll be able to play guitar let alone gig. The only gig that we`re definitely doing is the `Ale House` with Big Num. But we are in the process of learning some new songs for the xmas gigs.

I`ve finaly had time to sit down & write up a load of reviews of past gigs. There are now around twenty up, fingers cross I will now keep up to date with them. Don`t forget you can write `em & sent `em in. Thanks to `EX` for the `Reckless` one.

13 October 2004 - F.D.S... Documentary DVD to be Made!
A documentary DVD (a year in the life of F.D.S.) is to begin filming in december. Why... i`ve no idea but someone wants to do it, so why not. DVD should include live footage, rehearsals, on the road, interviews with band & you guys plus a whole lot more. Straight up.
